GENE SIMMONS: 'Family Jewels' Season 4 Photographic Sneak Peek

February 23, 2009

A&E TV has posted photos of the fourth season of "Gene Simmons Family Jewels", reality television show that follows the family life of the rock star Gene Simmons of KISS, his former Playboy Playmate of the Year partner Shannon Tweed and their two children Nick, 19 and Sophie, 16.

The third season of the hit series saw Gene preparing for the ultimate challenge — a lie detector test to determine if he has been faithful to Shannon Tweed. A true test for the legendary ladies man, Gene had to answer questions put forth by Shannon, as fans found out if the 4,800 women Gene purports to have been with all occurred before 1983 — the year he and Shannon's relationship began. In addition to revealing the truth behind the rock star's storied sex life, we saw a Gene Simmons Roast in which Gene was verbally assaulted by friends and today's hottest comedians, the first-ever KISS concert where the band performed as a trio, behind the scenes with Gene on NBC's "The Celebrity Apprentice", Gene and Shannon's official "Happily UNmarried" honeymoon in Hawaii, Nick and Sophie abroad in Mexico and much, much more.

Simmons said in an interview that he is attracted to reality television simply because he is Gene Simmons.

"I'm in the Gene Simmons business and anything I want to do that appeals to me, I do and I don't really question it much," he said. "I did ('Rock School') because I wanted to do it, it's sort of like if you're lucky and blessed in the way I have been and continue to be, life gives you a menu and you have a choice. Most of the people on the planet don't have any choices. You know, you go to work at jobs you hate, you wind up having to go to your mother-in-law's house, the church forces you to get married. I refuse to lead my life that way, I do what I want to do ... I pick what I want from the menu of life."
